This transgender issue in women/men sports is so ridiculous I can’t believe anyone (male, female, trans, gay, straight, hermaphrodite or just plain confused) can support it.
When I grew up in the 70’s we were so honest we balanced the dodge ball opponents with equal “big kids” and “little kids” (like me at 5ft 2ish inches) boys and girls alike.
We didn’t give a crap about what gender you identified with … we just wanted you to be able to hurl a rubber ball so hard at your “opponent” that they’d topple off their Converse sneakers. Talk about a crazy dangerous game but boy was it fun.
When I was a student at FIDM-Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising San Francisco I won a Levi’s Award and an opportunity to interview for a job upon graduation.
I was honored … until I showed up for the interview. The designers I would be working for lacked any ounce of creativity, they read their interview questions (3 pages/they sent me beforehand) straight off the paper and were the most boring individuals.
Thank God I didn’t get the job but this woman was the head honcho back then and I was so excited to see her turn her “stand up for what’s right” against the Levi’s institution who “forced her out” to start her own apparel company in support of women’s sports.
